Lately I have been obsessed with peaches, so naturally I had to create a mocktail  starring them! The flavor profile of this mocktail is lightly sweet with a lovely botanical flavor that comes from the elderflower and non-alcoholic gin alternative! As always, the gin alternative is optional, the mocktail will still taste incredible if you choose to leave it out.

We are in midterms here at school in which I’ll have 8 midterms in two weeks. As you can imagine, self-care is extremely important during such a stressful time and one of the ways I choose to de-stress is by mixing myself up something special! I think often we confuse “undwiniding” with choosing to consume things like alcohol and sugar that will only cause us more anxiety in the long-run, so the ritual of drinking a mocktail that I know will help my brain stay alert for the weeks to come is the PERFECT alternative.

There is an alcohol-free movement happening. There are more non-alcoholic alternatives on the market than every before, and it’s easy to see why! Being  able to enjoy sipping on something special with friends or family that doesn’t cause brain fog or anxiety is exactly what our society needs. The narrative around drinking alcohol is quickly shifting, it was once something advertised with an air of sophistication and inclusion, while now the research is showing that it causes seven different types of cancer. In Ireland, they are making alcohol industries put warning labels about the health risks of drinking alcohol on their bottles and alcohol sales have plummeted because of it. Perhaps that is in our future here in America as well!

I hope that you treat yourself this weekend and make this mocktail for yourself or to enjoy with someone special. Much love to you all!
